The one and only Voivod, Canadian thrash/prog metal auteurs, is out on a spring tour of the midwestern U.S. They stopped at Reggies Rock Club in Chicago on March 24th for an evening of wild, whirlwind sound. Of course, classics like Experiment and The Unknown Knows were on the set list. It was also great to hear Nanoman off of the Negatron album, a record from the mid-1990s slice of their discography that doesn’t get quite as much attention. A full set list is here. Relevant and creative as ever, they brought a high energy show that outpaced bands half their age. Check out some photos below.
